The school had identified that we were focusing heavily on pupils struggling to reach grades 4 and 5 at GCSE and less on stretching the most able. The intention of this project was to ensure that we stretched all abilities.
We applied for this project to enable our teaching and support staff to learn best practice from our partner schools in Europe. We also intended it to act as a a tool for recruitment and retention.
