Objectives

We wanted to give our learners the opportunity to improve their employability prospects both at home and internationally by helping them to gain some of the soft skills that employers seek through a blend of classroom learning, industry related visits and work experience. These skills include a positive attitude, being a good communicator, the ability to teamwork and self manage, a willingness to learn, ability to use initiative and make decisions, being punctual, motivated and resilient. Such skills will help our learners to carry out their future job roles to the best of their ability, providing they also have a good technical understanding and reasonable subject knowledge of the role they are in. We also sought to improve our institution's international presence in Germany and strengthen our ongoing partnership with Akademie Klausenhof. We felt that this was especially important after Brexit
