Objectives

The objectives identified by the European Plan - proposed by the Applicant in order to foster its strengthening and growth thanks to this specific mobility project - aimed at: empowering the competences and skills of trainers and volunteers, particularly through the enrichment of their pool of skills, methods and tools; fostering the personal development of trainers and volunteers, especially in terms of self-confidence when facing intercultural challenges during their training activities; improving the quality of volunteering activities, especially in terms of intercultural competence; enhancing cooperation in an international dimension and in a cross-border and intergenerational perspective, thanks to networking with other like-minded organisations; covering the lack of contacts and networking among organisations focused on the same field.

Background

Kosmo Strategio applied for this project - the third of a series of mobility projects implemented so far - in order to foster and sustain its sustainable strengthening and growth as an organisation focused on skill empowerment for volunteers and trainers. Thanks to the participation in this project, Kosmo Strategio Ltd intended to address its main long-perspective priorities: international mobility; networking with other organisations; training of staff members and trainers during different seminars, courses and conferences useful to match the described needs. The organisation planned to enable its trainers and volunteers - also often active in NGOs - to improve their competences, through international mobility, training and networking, staying up-to-date with new managerial trends, intercultural competence, methodological and didactical skills, and skills from other backgrounds, as well as with the use of new media and ICT.
