Objectives

Researching and using new technology platforms so we can enhance our teaching and supporting of our learners. Our gained knowledge will be very pertinent to our learners for: - Sharing thoughts and ideas on a digital platform (especially for those with social anxieties) - Communicating to support each other - Record progress and achievements - Upload photos, recipes, useful web links. - Use on line diaries to help organise both personal and learning items

Background

We applied for this project to further our knowledge of technologies to integrate into our own learning projects in the UK. We manage several projects that deal with people who are digitally disadvantaged through poverty or personal circumstances. Often these people are socailly isolated and have social anxieties. The introduction of hardware and software will allow them to be more in touch with each other and also use the platforms to record how they are progressing. Once we have trained the groups up they will then be able to access the platforms from phones, ipads and computers which can be accessed in many public places, i.e. colleges, libraries.
