Our experience is that, if in a project refuges/migrants and local/European young people participate together, they can enjoy the cultural diversity, and learn a lot about each other’s culture. Refuges/migrants young people live everywhere in European Union. Our partnership building seminar is aimed at bringing together refuges/migrants and local youth workers, youth leaders, project managers in order to explore together different cultures of refuges/migrants, to share the political, cultural, educational and economic approaches of different countries towards refuges/migrants communities and how refuges/migrants’ communities react on these stereotypes and prejudices. Give an answer to these approaches through sharing methods and techniques how refuges/migrants and local/European young people can be involved together into youth projects in order to break stereotypes and prejudices and getting to know refuges/migrants’ cultures even better. Then we plan to build partnership among organisations deal with cooperation among refuges/migrants and local/European young people through supporting each others’ local work and inventing youth exchanges together for two reasons: - refuges/migrants young people from different refuges/migrants’ cultures from different countries can meet each other and share their cultural background. Maybe this way they can understand more their roots and getting positive point of views for their future. Refuges/migrants and local young people can get to know more each other and use cultural encounters as positive tools during the youth exchanges. Our project is “Different ships?” - Partnership Building Seminar on raise awareness and foster knowledge on different migrants and refugees’ cultures and using cultural encounters as positive tool of youth exchanges according to KA1 of Erasmus + programme. The partnership building seminar will be held in Manchester, United Kingdom, 23-30 August 2019.
