Objectives

The objectives of the project are: • Increase the competences and skills of youth workers, linked to their professional profile and a need of their organisations to address issues associated with European migration. • Increase participants’ confidence and ability in developing approach and strategy to provide targeted support for young refugees and their social inclusion. •Increase awareness about issues within local refugees communities -To increase understanding of violent radicalisation and the causes of extremism; • Explore the meaning of prejudice and discrimination in broader terms and develop techniques in anti-discriminatory practice • Increase capacity of the participants and their organisations to operate at international level The project will help youth workers in promoting diversity and social inclusion. As the result of this project, the organisations involved will be able to address the needs of refugees better, facilitate their integration into local community and, therefore, reduce risk of radicalisation. The project is in line with EU strategy to enhance the integration of non-EU nationals in EU societies. The project offers space for active interaction, sharing ideas, analyse information, plan actions and express opinions as well as evaluate learning outcomes and put ideas into practice. Methods and activities are relevant to the objectives, and demonstrate good range of different nonformal and informal methods. This project will be a mix of theory (about radicalisation, causes, impact, vulnerability factors and prevention) as well as practical learning from front line providers how they facilitate the process of integration, what kind of activities have been organised and new plans and ideas. This approach will help us to meet our objectives and will fill a gap in participants’ knowledge involved.
