The initiative and idea of “EGO VS ECO“ originated from young proactive people who want to emphasize the importance of existing worldwide pollution issues and develop pro-environmental behaviour amongst their peers to reduce harmful actions both in their community and globally. At the same time, they want to strengthen the link between participants of the project and the local community to expand the knowledge step by step and change the current threat from pollution to a solution. The Objectives of the project “ EGO VS ECO” -To facilitate the exchange of exploration, experience, and expression on unconventional ideas that would increase awareness of climate change within a group of 42 young people -To promote pro-environmental behaviour and sense of initiative through working together on global issues -To raise curiosity about protection as the first step to a solution -To evaluate how an individual can impact the environment with their daily actions -To improve solidarity and intercultural dialogue with the encouragement to find a solution to issues faced by communities -To prepare the group for 7 specific activities: Hiking, greening , creating motivational videos, treasure hunting, diving, flash mobbing and recycling -To strengthen mutual understanding of how young people can work together with a focus on cultural diversity -To increase the engagement of the active European citizens -To involve young people with fewer opportunities ( economic, educational, social difficulties, from isolated areas)
