The project is a youth exchange. Content: According to research centers such as Democracy Index, Freedom House, which are working on democracy, in many countries, instead of progress in democracy, there is regression or pause. It has been observed that societies are increasingly excluded from decision-making mechanisms in a serious way, societies participation in traditional political formations or democratic mechanisms such as elections have been decreasing, the confidence to the politicians and political parties are reduced. So political participation is at the beginning of the debate about democracy in recent times. In Europe, irregular and low-level political participation is observed in young people. Although there is a very large young population, traditional political institutions are not interested in this young population. After the field work we have done as a group, we decided to write this project to raise awareness about the issue both locally and in Europe and to encourage political participation. Aims of the Project: The main aim of our project is to help young people to turn to their needs as individuals who can express their political, economic and social problems and have the ability to make decisions on their behalf, rather than being represented and decided in their rights and duties. Our objectives; To inform the youth about the concept of citizenship. To teach the rights and responsibilities of European citizenship to them. To inform the participants about what active citizenship is and what it requires. To show the difference between politics and ideology and the mistakes people make in this issue. To inform the participants about the political participation of young people in different countries and how political bodies have given young people the chance to do so. To teach participants the basic features of the presidential, semi-presidential, parliamentary system and parliamentary monarchy system. To ensure that participants to think and discuss the political, social, cultural, artistic, educational, legal areas that they should be in a country. To raise awareness of participants by considering and discussing ways of active citizenship and political participation. To increase the level of knowledge of participants about economic systems.
