2019-1-UK01-KA116-0604992019VET learner and staff mobility with VET mobility charterfinalized
Countries: UK · Grant: €26,846

Objectives

Although only ten students undertook mobilities, the objectives of the project were still met. The project: • supported learners in the acquisition of competencies (knowledge, skills, and attitudes) improving their personal development and employability in the European labour market. • enhanced students’ knowledge, know-how, skills, competencies required in their occupations as well as building their soft skills e.g., confidence, team-working, living etc. • has enabled the College to provide excellent mobility opportunities which have added a European dimension to traditional activities and curriculum. • has not only met the project objectives but also the objectives set down in the Colleges Corporate Development Plan (CDP). • has delivered one of the objectives of the College's internationalisation strategy as it has enabled students to “benefit from exciting learning experiences that will not only enable them to achieve relevant qualifications but also avail of opportunities to grow personally and socially so they can survive and thrive in the new global society”. In terms of project target numbers unfortunately due to the impact of covid-19, we were only able to send 10 VET students rather than the proposed 218.

Background

The outcomes of the MOVE UP 2 project were to enable VET learners to undertake placements within various European settings. Due to the Pandemic only a small number of students were able to Undertake /international Placements however for those who did they had a great experience ensuring the successful achievement of the project objectives, as students’ knowledge, know-how, skills, and competencies were enhanced including developing soft skills e.g., confidence, team-working, living and working in a global society.
