2019-1-UK01-KA116-0605672019VET learner and staff mobility with VET mobility charterfinalized
Countries: UK · Grant: €743,971

Objectives

We wanted to use the project as an opportunity to pilot some new areas of work, whilst also consolidating existing activity and approaches. Working in collaboration with partners in the UK and internationally, the project presented an opportunity to push boundaries and pilot new models and approaches in order offer unique international learning opportunities in the vocational sector. The objectives of our project were: - To deliver work placements for vocational students, aligned to their course of study, thus providing an opportunity for technical and soft skills development - To enhance learners job readiness skills (such as interview technique and CV writing) - To expand our international networks, through establishing new programmes in la Reunion, Cyprus and Malta. - To strengthen our capacity building offer to staff, by piloting job shadow placement opportunities for staff in the Health & Social Care sector - To capture the impact of our work through case study development and survey analysis

Background

We applied for this project to enable us to continue to offer high quality placements to young people and strengthen capacity building opportunities for the staff that support them. The project was an opportunity to diversify our placement models, to respond to the demand for placements that we had seen from our UK partner network and the young people recruited directly on to our programs.
