MOVE to Be You is a newly established organization in Austria with members active in NFE over 10 years. Our special focus and interest is using experiential learning, education through sport, non-formal education and movement as an educational tool to foster cross-cultural understanding, social inclusion, solidarity, peace building and community development. We are dedicated to develop cooperation with other European organizations working with youth experienced and interested in social inclusion and active citizenship through creative usage and good practices of using sport as a tool for it. Our aim was to identify and establish possible future long term cooperations with the selected partner organizations and collaborate in increasing the number of projects aiming at enhancing social inclusion and active citizenship in Erasmus+ funded projects throughout Europe and beyond. The greater goal of the project was also to improve the amount and variety of usage of sport based methods as a NFE educational tool serving social inclusion and active citizenship under Erasmus+ programmes and therefore contribute to an integrational society and strengthened intercultural dialogue at local, national and international level too. In this PBA we brought together 30 youth workers from 15 different countries working in non-profit organizations. Expected results met: Providing a meeting point to bring together 30 youth workers for future collaborations on social inclusion and active citizenship enhancement projects such as training course creation, strategic partnership and collaborative partnerships creation. We designed 7 projects (training course, collaborative and strategic partnership) to be applied in 2020 deadlines. The project was designed for youth workers and youth leaders active in their organizations who are to build successful partnership and are aware on how these partnerships can be linked to the strategic priorities of their organizations. The project’s objectives were: • 1. Strengthen the motivation and increase cooperation between youth organizations internationally interested in the topic of using sport as a tool for social inclusion and active citizenship • 2. Provide a space to learn and share good practices and experience on the usage of sport as a tool for social inclusion and active citizenship in youth work. • 3. Encourage and develop the creation of future projects within Erasmus+ framework. • 4. Create the space for contact making and networking as a base of future projects with special focus on the usage of sport as a tool for the project’s topic. 5.Foster quality improvement in youth work by developing projects using sport as a tool to foster social inclusion and active citizenship. The project will contribute to the objectives of Erasmus+ by: a. Improving the quality of youth work by promoting and strengthening European cooperation between youth organizations and relevant stakeholders focusing on the usage of sport as a tool for social inclusion and active citizenship. b. It will enhance the opportunity of mobility of youth workers and leaders including the ones with fewer opportunities. c. It is to capitalise on sharing best practices while discovering and building future collaborations on developing projects on European dimension for social inclusion and active citizenship with sport as a tool to it. Needs to be addressed were the lack of collaboration and variety of organizations who work on social inclusion and active citizenship enhancement through the creative usage of sport. There is a huge and vast potential in using variety of tools to serve social inclusion and active citizenship for which we identified sport as a great tool for it’s participatory, fun and value based nature on which educational methodologies can be greatly built. Our PBA was to be carried out, in order to: 1. share good practices and existing realities about using sport as a tool for social inclusion and active citizenship enhancer 2. to develop the quality of projects and quality of collaborations in youth work between various organizations and relevant stakeholders. Some partners already had experience in implementing social inclusion oriented projects, some even with the usage of sport while for other’s it’s new from this angle. They were all keen on further developing their network in this topic and on collaborating in the realization of high quality future initiatives together in Erasmus+ youth framework. Applicant organization and partners agreed on the need to create an opportunity to network and collaborate for strengthened social impact and lasting social inclusion oriented initiatives between youth organizations in Europe for which Erasmus+ funding proved to be the right platform to support such networking and educational mobility.
