The topics and values of the project are the following: Music as the universal language: —> Tool for personal and intercultural expression. —> Non-verbal + Trans-linguistic form of communication. —> Connecting by interacting. Inclusion: Everyone can be who he wants to be, no need to adapt or to change. Interculturality & Diversity: Individual cultural characteristics are being respected and worked with. Submitting personal influences is being appreciated in order to create and work together. The objectives of our YE are the following: Expanding the understanding of creating music and music culture (techniques + social interaction). Reflecting values like Respect, Diversity, Cooperation and Inclusion. Informal learning — Practical learning experience, rather than theory overload. Activity + reflection = Awareness about values. With this YE we want to reach out to young people which are socially or financially disadvantaged or discriminated. Also people who come from rural areas or have bad infrastructural connections to cities etc. are included. We will teach technical medial skills concerning the audio spectrum in order to make them learn new abilities they can use for expressing themselves, pointing out problems or to make it a profession. All skills will be learned via informal learning techniques during various activities and workshops. Reflections will be held after activities that examine the values Respect, Diversity, Cooperation and Inclusion. The participants will often not know that an activity is pointed towards a certain value. After the activity though, they will be able to reflect about their own behaviour. Not talking about the topic of the activity in advance makes the behaviour of the participants more authentic, natural and less biased towards the topic in comparison to telling them what it is about in advance. All workshops and activities will focus on informal learning of competences.
