Objectives

To strengthen the curriculum of the students in areas that are currently underdeveloped, in order to best meet the expectations of the labor market. Our school needs opportunities for BSO students to train and develop professional competencies in a rapidly evolving sector. The possibility of experiencing an internship abroad combined with workshops can give an extra dimension to their choice of study => more attractive. Through an internship abroad it was interesting to learn (or improve) certain techniques and to get to know specific raw materials and products. So we thought of the following techniques that can be learned through foreign training: - Wood and marble imitation - Restoration of wall paintings - Applying aging techniques such as: Crazing - Authentic patination - Glazing techniques - Restoration of glass paintings - Gilding techniques - Lime techniques - Metal Sheet - Polychroming - Stenciling - Pistol painting All of this must be done in a very accurate manner and must also encourage safety, environmental and quality awareness among the students.

Background

We refer to a passage from the curriculum: also vocational education, wants to pursue 3 general objectives: to provide opportunities for broad personality development, a preparation for participation in social events and a preparation for participation in functioning in a profession. Knowledge, skills and attitudes will be pursued in a balanced way. Even though the cognitive elements are easier to measure, priority in vocational education should be given to the acquisition of skills and attitudes, using the cognitive objectives as support. A thorough knowledge of materials and techniques are indispensable. They learn to apply various skills and techniques as well as basic theoretical knowledge in an integrated manner. Internships are a thoughtful extension of the goals of the third grade, they aim to engage students in the daily operations of a company. There can be an increasing distinction in accents and emphases in the interpretation of the internships and there should be room for a differentiated internship curriculum of the student. This offers added value when looking for work in specialized companies.
