Objectives

With the implementation of this project, we worked on the following objectives: -Need for self-reliance, to have the ability to function socially and participate in society; - Need for entrepreneurship within a broad society; - Need for European thinking, getting rid of "steeple mentality"; - Need for salmon effect, because now these are students from the so-called waterfall system. They often make the choice for these subject areas too thoughtlessly, not motivated enough, which often makes it difficult to motivate them for activities within their specific subject area; - Need to develop language skills and meet the growing demands for intercultural and foreign-language communication in business.

Background

With this consortium project "Fraternisation in education!", we extended our existing Erasmus projects. Already, students from the accounting/informatics sector and from the welfare sector went on internships to the fraternisation communities of France and Italy. With this project, we were also able to send pupils from the metal, refrigeration, wood, sports and electricity sectors, from the community education centres of Eeklo, Maldegem and Zelzate, on an internship.
