ORGANIZATIONAL ABILITY • The participants had to get to their internship places themselves and manage with a budget. They could meet themselves with their internship location or with contact students who were also at the internship location. Since the students stayed in the apartments in groups, they had to make arrangements among themselves and organize themselves. RECEPTION + FUNCTIONAL LANGUAGE SKILLS: In the Netherlands, language was subordinate to other manners. The students had to be aware of the correct way of dealing with companies. In Malta and Italy, language played a greater role. In Malta, English was the official language, in principle also in Italy, but we noticed that this was less obvious. We chose not to allow any more mobilities to take place in Italy the following year. CRITICAL ATTITUDE • Because people lived together with different students in an apartment and the connection with students from other schools and employees of companies, people constantly came into contact with both feedback about their work and attitude. They had to weigh this up thoroughly. In consultation with the supervisors, this was placed in a constructive context. Our mobilities in Spain and UK could not continue.
Within five years, we wanted to offer every student and staff member of school group Impact! a foreign experience where languages, working techniques and cultural differences mean professional and personal enrichment. With this, Impact strives for maximum learning gain and total personality development, and Impact! lifelong learning and active, entrepreneurial citizenship. The result is a sustainable international network that results in innovative, attractive and high-quality education. Due to COVID, this plan has been somewhat delayed by stimulating initiative and entrepreneurship, we noticed that demand from schools is increasing ,we are still catching up with the two years we lost due to COVID. With this project we have focused on optimizing communication in a foreign language, encouraging lifelong learning and cultural involvement. In addition to these aspects, (mental) social inclusion was one of our priorities. Students focus on the digital world, which means they miss real-life opportunities. We centralized everything at school group level so that everyone had access to the necessary information.
