Last year a group of 60 youngsters had an exchange in Morocco. The built a car into a playing caravan which will be used by the youth organisations in Morocco. To make this more sustainable we want to learn this years participating youngsters more about youth work methods. The animation course given by some of the partner organisations will be used as the ground works for this exchange. The intention is to give young people of various origins the chance to meet each other and exchange experiences between rural and urban Moroccon, and the link with young people from a metropolitan context. Partners from both countries will have the opportunity to further professionalize their operations through exchange. The objective through this exchange are: - Through thorough preparation, guidance and post-processing have youngsters with different back grounds from Antwerp and from the Oriental region to meet. - Exchange knowledge and experience concerning the types and methods of youth work in Antwerp and in the Oriental region. - Young people form different types of youth work getting to know each other, broaden their view and work on tolerance, solidarity, equality,… and also being able to express this. A lot of the youngsters with a Moroccan migrationbackground only know Morocco through their vacations, for these youngsters we want them to develop a new perspective on Morocco. Peer-learning is one of our main focusses, by creating a safe environment in which the learning process can be evaluated. The participants will follow an animation course in Morocco, there will be different chapters into this course. The meaning of this course is so that the participants can use the knowledge that they’ve learned, to use it into the practice. The chapters of this course are: - Supervisor role - First aid - Stadium ( how do I make a game/activity) - Variation ( changing something in a game to variate its outcome) - Combination ( combining two games/activities which each other) - Giving and receiving feedback When they have reached each chapter they have to combine all these chapters and work on a final assignment. They will prepare an activity and present it to the group in the other city. At the end they will be evaluated and they will give and receive feedback. In the end the youngsters will receive a certificate summing up all the competences they have worked on (Youthpass).
