European action for sustainability”(22.11.2016), The Bulgarian Memory Foundation, the Municipality of the Bulgarians in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, Moldova and Grupa liberalnih, ambicioznih i solidarnih, Serbia initiate this project on the topic: “Green Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development and Social Inclusion of Young People”. REASONS / NEEDS AND PROBLEMS:The idea for the project was raised at a seminar "Encouraging entrepreneurship and financial literacy to overcome youth unemployment" (2017-1-BG01-KA105-035519) when young people (15-24) from Bulgaria, Moldova and Serbia in a feedback session express the need for:*acquisition of transversal and entrepreneurial skills in the context of the circular economy and environmental care;*building entrepreneurship, adaptability and initiative as prerequisites for active social inclusion;*preservation of natural resources, sustainable development and green growth;*improving media literacy in times of propaganda and 'fake news' to which young people are particularly sensitive and vulnerable. Young people's needs could be given the following additional argumentation: *According to the European Commission, sustainable development is at the heart of the European project. The EU Treaties recognize and respect the economic, social and environmental dimensions of the Union. The EU development, meeting the needs of the present, must not jeopardize the ability of future generations to meet their needs. *According to Eurobarometer(2018)> 50% of young Europeans believe that education should be the top priority of the EU,while environmental protection and climate change are ranked second with 40%; *The EU Action Plan against Disinformation (5.12.2018) states that disinformation can cause public harm and jeopardize the democratic process.According to Eurobarometer(2018),online news sources have the lowest confidence-26 %, while> 83% of young people use internet as main information source-serious risk of manipulation, having in mind that ecological topics are constantly a subject of "fake news". *In 2/11 Youth Goals-Sustainable and Green Europe, Quality Learning, formulated during the Bulgarian EU Council Presidency after consulting 50000 young Europeans and forming the basis of EU Youth Strategy 2019,is indicated the need for:*a society with ecologically active and educated young people able to change their everyday life;*integrating/improving the different forms of training that prepare them for the economic transformation in the 21st century; *In the three countries of the participants, entrepreneurship conditions are not good enough. In the World Entrepreneurship Index (2018),Bulgaria is 69th,Moldova-92o,and Serbia-74th out of 106.At the same time, according to Eurostat(2018) there is a high risk of falling into poverty and social exclusion:Bulgaria (22.9%), Moldova (22.2%), Serbia (24.1%). OBJECTIVE: In view of the above, the project aims, through a 5-day youth exchange,60 participants from Bulgaria, Moldova and Serbia in the secondary/tertiary education transition to develop eco-entrepreneurial skills in the context of the transformation to circular and low-carbon economy, and improve their media literacy and critical thinking against climate change disinformation, contributing to:*social inclusion & increasing youth employment;*achieving sustainable socio-economic development based on care for nature. SUB-OBJECTIVES are to: *Develop entrepreneurial culture among young people with a special focus on ecology & environmental protection; *Contribute to overcoming the risk of poverty, unemployment, marginalization of young people by developing key, transversal and eco-entrepreneurship skills; *Raise the media literacy of participants by encouraging them to think critically, actively participate in public life and form their views on facts & reliable information; *Motivate youth through the example of inspirational people and good eco-entrepreneurial practices; *Strengthen among the participants soft skills for communication, leadership, time management; *Develop 3/8 Youthpass competencies:K6:Social & civic competences,K7:Sense of initiative & entrepreneurship,K8:Cultural awareness & expression; *Set up a network of contacts to share ideas and experience among youth from Southeastern Europe and the Eastern Partnership.
