Objectives

As it was mentioned, the learning process of our project «Inner Peace: a way to Happiness» is based on different methods of non-formal education. The duration of the youth exchange is 8 days, this makes the involvement of young people with fewer opportunities appropriate; as such project can offer an international mobility experience in the safety of a group with the possibility of having an adequate number of group leaders to take care of the participants. This project will be a well apportunity to discuss and learn on the international level about mental health problems, because it is based on an international cooperation between the two or more participating organizations from different countries within and outside the European Union. The project itself will allow young people to: develop such personal competences as self-confidence, leadership, intercultural skills, team work, language skills, networking, presentation skills, project management, communication skills, conflict management skills, etc.; strengthen values like solidarity, democracy, friendship, intercultural dialog, etc.; discover new cultures, habits and life-styles, mainly through peer-learning; and of course become aware about health living habbits. After the participation in the youth exchange, participants will be able to:  understand the process of experiential learning, to understand how young people learn and the learning styles, to discover connections between theory of learning and practice/daily life experiences, to experience non-formal education methods, to understand the group processes which are happening during an educational activities;  distinguish between mental health and mental illness, understand how mental health issues affect everyone, provide conclusion from the finding of the youth exchange was a made test-ground for the happy approach to education;  explain how the experience of mental health problems affect, and are affected by, employment, personal state of young people, their relations with someone, etc.;  give examples of how community resource centers can benefit the wellbeing of young people and communities in terms of mental health and happiness;  understand the complexity and dilemmas of diverse perspectives in the field of mental health and distress;  develop the concept of happiness in education, working process, personal life on the individual, local and even international level;  show how mental health may effect the results of young people everyday life, give and analyse real-life examples and cases, etc. All this things will be achieved by the activities during the youth exchange, workshops, expert help, active participation of the young people and the partner organizations. Non-formal education activities included in the exchanges programm provide positive identity and atmosphere, group empowerment and positive dinamic, activisation of leadership, teamwork, and self-governance skills. The program of the youth exchange has built-in structures to develop youth leadership. We believe that, if youth have a direct role in creating and maintaining their own activities during the project, they participate more active and they develop critical leadership skills. This exchange will develop practical citizenship skills, such as public speaking, negotiation, advocacy, discipline, communication, and social responsibility, and so forth. We will advice the coordinators to make the necessary training-workshop for youth to be able to collaborate productively and friendly with other people. This present the social value of the exchange, because young people interact with each other and with other members of society in their every day life. Our exchange will help young people to be active participants in the life of their local community. Not be affraid to take responsibilities and risk to achieve more. Inaddition we want to admit the economic value, as the project is not happening outside economic system and important personal value. The gaining experience during the youth exchange will become an wordenful experience in the life of the young people.
