The current project has been prepared based on previous experiences in youth work, education and training field of the consortium and mainly on some partners’ unique expertise in terms of creating and leading a holistic environment bridging together education and youth sectors, labor market and public institutions and adapting to the global professional trends. Due to the innovative character of such expertise and the needs of like-minded actors, it became crucial that the Pan-European consortium of partners shares its best practices in a structured way, ensuring transfer of capitalized knowledge to other communities and therefore the achievement of higher quality of skills and competences for youth workers. By the ETEM project we will enhance the capacities of youth workers and youth work communities in general to positively influence and re-engage youth to take active position for their personal and professional development. Stepping on the entrepreneurship paradigm, we will aim to make one step further by motivating them to also consider their contribution to their own wellbeing. In addition our project will offer instruments and know-how on evaluating the specific needs of young people to be addressed in their training and will focus part of the training on raising young people self-awareness and self motivation for development. Entrepreneurship education is currently a powerful impetus across Europe and is becoming more and more visible, as a key prerequisite for equipping future generations with the right set of horizontal skills to be successful in professional life. The rising levels of unemployment and economic discrepancies open space for entrepreneurship as an alternative to profit-oriented lifestyle, but also as a source for sustainable solutions to emergent community issues. The ETEM project will offer a unique and highly attractive methodologies based on self-awareness and entrepreneurship methods and developed by leading organizations in the field. Not only that, but by the ETEM project we target to motivate, train and equip young people to create efficient jobs but not only to seek a job and thus to be cheaters of the future economic and organizational environment
ETEM project aimed to train young people in an innovative approach how to strengthen their searching impulse into a structured methodology for reaching results and thus be entrepreneurs and job creators instead of job seekers.New era of informational society requires quick decisions. New era is digital and the era of automation. The technological evolution of the world is a daily routine already. That causes not only a tremendous growth of industries and work processes that has been beyond any imagination but also is setting new requirements for the workforce. We are witnessing an accelerated transition of the global economy and industrial environment to a totally new shape and structure and we believe that some of the professions in the world will vanish, others will emerge. This inevitable change in the list of professions in demand only adds additional stress to the already existing gap between the youth workforce as a supply on one hand and the existing industrial demand for qualified personnel on the other hand. We believe that one profession will still exist in the near and the far future, and this profession is “management”. Thus, we decided that one of the steps we need to take is to help young professionals and entrepreneurs grow as the managers of the future and be ready to face the challenges of the transformation of industrial and social organizations. However, the majority of contemporary education and professional qualification systems are changing much slower compared to the velocity of the industrial changes. Thus, we a proactive measures to adapt and outpace the changes with adequate approach were required. Our partnership faced also the challenge of living in phenomenal industrial environment in Eastern and Central Europe – the economic reality of transition from planned economy to a market one. Knowing major works that do explain in depth and even can predict transition process from feudalism to manufacturing economy to capitalism, then democracy and market economy. We are aware though of no economic theory or manual how to execute a transition from planned socialist economy to a market economy in an emerging democratic society is a perquisite, but it not all. Such transitions with no guidance and no back-up of an existing tools usually do produce a lot of “managerial waste” but there is no knowledge to “lean” the system and we have to deal with it even decades later.
The world is on edge and needs transition. Europe is trending to significant changes to sustainability while managing sequence of crisis. New generations are in a difficult spot for inheriting the leadership, to get integrated to the existing organizational environment and in even higher challenge to practice entrepreneurship. Young people in Europe need training and practical tools for their entrepreneurial spirit. They need skills and education for that. Thus, we wanted to construct digestible and comprehensive toolset for young entrepreneurs to be able to implement the Quality management approach for sustainable organizational development, transformation and growth. We believed we have the right partnership and team, with the relevant experience, skills and knowledge to contribute in bringing Europe back to growth and create new jobs for young people and more entrepreneurs among them by passing our skill and knowledge. Making Europe more entrepreneurially‑friendly and helping young people transform their creative ideas into successful business plans by removing the barriers to entrepreneurship has many potential benefits, including direct and indirect job creation and the development of human capital and new skills.
