"Accept Migration" was a two-stage Erasmus+ project aiming to cover, explore, discuss and deal with integration-related challenges linked to migration management. It was a continuation of the previous project, “Migration - Challenge of Modernity” implemented on the basis of the previous project, successful network of organizations that had been created. As we imagine a society built on inclusion, equal opportunities, communication and freedom of expression, we have been promoting equal opportunities for all by supporting implementation of inclusive policies; peace by raising awareness about cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue with the help of media; healthy and positive relations between all members of the community. The project also responded to the current needs in our society in the context of the war in Ukraine. As all of the partner organisations countries are affected by that and also have different experience. Based on the feedback from the participants, organizations and stakeholders we decided to continue working in the same field but cover the different topics. We intended to empower and expand the network of the civic organizations working or willing to work in the field, promote new tools and methodology among youth workers and trainers in order to explore more about the international legislative background of migration management and present the concrete ways how to contribute to the migration management process, and at the same time raise awareness among youth. With this intention partners agreed to apply for two stage project TC and then YE to raise awareness among international youth. Main aim of the project was to bring positive change and to support the implementation of European policy agenda for growth, peacebuilding, integration and social inclusion via non-formal education. Project content was building strong logical chain to raise awareness about migration and importance of integration process for the modern society based on the philosophy of the Erasmus+ program: "Building on the past experience, looking towards future". The project was also reflecting the current geopolitical situation with the war in Ukraine and the connected migration. Project was implemented through following phases: 1st stage – Training Course – aimed to train youth workers and trainers in the field of non-formal education in the conceptual management of the migration. Main goal of the 1st phase was to equip the youth workers with sufficient skills and knowledge, help them master their skills of becoming facilitators in this field. The learning process was done through the activities of non-formal education such as role plays, experiential learning, peer to peer learning and discussions. 2nd stage – Youth Exchange –aimed to create space for youth to explore role of international organizations and governmental bodies in migration management process, their policies towards migrants, refugees and IDPs. Design of the project was aiming to motivate youth to analyze the action plan of the international community in the migration management and see how their individual input can contribute to this process. All activities of both phases were planned in a way to encourage participants to become ambassadors of integration in their society, use their organizational resources to achieve this goal, build strong network of youth workers, trainers and youth working in the field. Whole project cycle was planned as an example of well- designed non-formal education project with powerful balance of practice and theory, aimed to bring meaningful results in personal and professional development of participants. Overall objectives of the project were the following: • Explore migration policy of EU and role of civic society in the policy-creation process • Expand the network of NGOs contributing to the migration management • Raise awareness about legal frame of migration among youth workers • Promote the idea of integration of migrants and refugees and peace building in Europe • Share best practices connected to the management of migration among youth workers • Develop media communication skills among youth workers • Encourage young people to be actively involved in social life • Motivate youngsters to be active European citizens in general • Promote non-formal learning and present it as a tool for participation and development • Promote intercultural exchange, tolerance and solidarity in general • Spread information about Erasmus+ and stimulate future cooperation The objectives of the project harmoniously merged with general objectives of Erasmus+ and Key Action 1 in terms of building active and engaged society, promoting common sense of European citizenship and identity.
