Few students came up with the idea to initiate a project that will answer their need of better financial literacy competences. Most participants come from rural or small urban environments where there are not many opportunities for young people and they feel the need to take action and create it for themselves. Therefore, this project responds to the need of young people to learn, develop and improve their current situation and future, by putting the emphasis on financial literacy due to their interest to increase their competences in this field. This need of them to acquire financial literacy came from a practicality when they encountered difficulties to manage their personal budgets and their soon graduation determine them to realize they need to learn more about how they can plan their own finances. The participants underlined that they want to improve their foreign language abilities as well and broaden their intercultural understanding horizons in an intercultural non-formal context. Objectives of the project: O1. Increase the level of financial literacy of 36 young people from RO, CZ and HU, to improve their ability to manage their finances once they get independent, in a safe intercultural non-formal learning environment. O2. Raise awareness about the importance of financial literacy of young people in the local communities from where the young participants are from.
