Objectives

The project addressed the need for alternative sustainable solutions (as a response to the commitment of the EU to the Circular Economy Package in 2018 to reduce landfilling), mainly to prevent over-production in order to improve the global situation with the oveproduction in the long term. We carried out the project in a way so that the youth workers would learn and share skills and sustainable solutions they can implement in their daily lives and also, help others in their communities to adopt these daily practices as well. The project aimed to help the youth workers understand the impact of human daily action on the nature environment, learn some of the best practices related to sustainable life that are easy to apply in their lives and share with them tools that help them share those practices in local communities through workshops and other activities. The project objectives were the following: 1) To learn and share information about environmental policies in different countries, understand the impact of human daily action on the environment and share among the youth workers valuable information and know-how related to the topic of sustainability 2) To help the youth workers learn skills related to sustainable solutions and daily practices and help them improve their ability to transmit those skills in their communities through local workshops and projects 3) To raise awareness about the topic of sustainability witihin the public by creating local workshops and medializing them 4) To exchange good practices in youth work among the youth workers from European countries and partner countries and support their international cooperation
