"Summer Camp Challenge" was a common project of two youth organizations - TOM Dumánci (Czech Republic) and Yenilikçi Eğitim ve Girişim Derneği (Turkey) with the aim to strengthen their partnership, share their good practices and learn from each other. The project consisted of two parts: - a youth exchange in the Czech Republic, June 2022 - a youth exchange in Turkey, October 2022 The aim of the first youth exchange was to show the Turkish group leaders the know-how of organizing a summer camp - preparing the programme, working with youth outdoors, as well as taking care of the logistics. The second youth exchange served as their opportunity to put their gained knowledge and skills in practice . The aims fulfilled by the project are the following: 1) To exchange good practices between our organizations, to share our experiences in the field of youth work and learn from each other. 2) To improve the professional skills of youth workers working in all of the organizations by organizing educational activities for young people on their own. 3) To widen the scale of youth work of the Turkish organization by enabling them to organize summer camps. 4) To work with youth with fewer opportunities, give them the opportunity to travel to a different country, meet other young people and gain new knowledge and skills via non-formal education. 5) To promote intercultural dialogue between people from 2 different countries, enhance tolerance towards other cultures.
