The main objective of the project is to increase and strengthen the competencies of youth workers in partner organizations which seek to promote the inclusion of newcomers (migrants and refugees) through leisure, educational, and community activities. Participants’ competencies will be developed through their participation in educational activities, by exchange of good practice, sharing and realization of joint activities among involved organizations. Each one of the involved organizations has developed a specific knowledge and experience while working with slightly different target groups and types of activities, which are however interconnected by the fact that they seek inclusion of newcomers based on their equal engagement through meeting each other, sharing, exchanging and learning from each other. The general objective of the project is thus to get inspiration and complement the missing knowledge and experience in various aspects of work from communication and conflict resolution, through innovative teaching and pedagogical practices, the practicalities of organizing activities including involving new management tools to working with the media in order to actively communicate to the public the values that the project embodies. Thanks to the wide range of competencies to be developed, the project achieves three specific objectives that have been identified by mapping the needs of our youth workers, namely development of management and organizational competencies; expanding and strengthening expert competencies; and improving the quality of work with media and outputs dissemination.
