Objectives

The eight-day youth exchange “Living and loving diversity – Countering right wing populism and hate speech” brings together young people from different regions of Europe and the Middle East to discuss the issues of diversity and the effects of rousing right-wing populism and hate speech in the social media. The aim for the participating young people, aged 16 to 30 years old, is to conceive and develop own educational projects during the encounter, in order to subsequently engage themselves for democratic culture and social diversity and to take appropriate stances. In order to do so, we want to provide knowledge in the encounter, introduce the young people to methods and tools and enable an exchange of experiences in order to empower the participants in their socio-political engagement. To achieve this, the participants develop their own formats / activities during the encounter in a final project workshop, which they carry out back home on-site com and report on social networks
