We want to give young Europeans the chance to meet, to spent time together, get know to each other and work creatively. We want to give all participants the chance to make an intercultural experience and through this experience strengthen the self-confidence of each participant. In addition, we will give them the chance to be part of a filmmaking team, to work on a short film from the idea until the final post-production together with people in the same age. The group will work on questions regarding the European idea and the future of this idea. With different backgrounds (member of EU from the first moment, member after the fall of the wall, not a member of EU) they hopefully experience interesting discussions. The objectives are: • get to know young Europeans from other countries with similar interests, but a very different background in geographical conditions • to develop a more differentiated idea of Europe and the diversity of European identity • to develop a better understanding of working as a team based on a democratic and equal process with a focus on freedom of expression • the project shall enrich the regional youth cultural diversity and strengthen the awareness of the right for young people to express themselves • to encourage young people to engage in creative and international networking beyond borders with a long-term value • to use film as a tool for young people to express themselves and to stimulate young people to tell their own stories • to develop short films from the idea to the finished film in one week at two different locations in Europe - through the fact that the participants are part of a "film team" we hope to increase the selfconfidence of each participant and to strengthen the team spirit • to give a first impression of the working field as a filmmaker under realistic conditions
