Objectives

The Training Course ‘Facilitation For All’ comes as a need of all the partners involved for improving their key staff/volunteers competencies in terms of facilitating groups. This TC will equip participants with knowledge and practical experience in order to implement high quality non-formal education youth activities building their capacity in their facilitation competencies. Even though the dimension of the TC is international, we want to focus more on a local level, improving the local based youth work and increase local youth participation. Therefore each partner organisation has submitted a list of needs related to facilitating groups of young people - these were issues the organisations are facing in general and / or were the focus of needs of a particular team member. Based on that, the project will consist of a generic training course on developing facilitation skills and at the same time will create a bespoke custom made training for each individual participant to meet their training needs. The aim of the project is to support youth work facilitation development of individual youth workers therefore impacting the quality of on the ground face to face youth work. The project objectives are as follows: O1) To explore and develop facilitator skills, attitudes, knowledge, behaviour, and values (competencies); O2) To support the participants in identifying their strengths and needs in their facilitation of youth groups; O3) To provide individual developmental opportunities O4) To develop competencies in delivering workshops and activities on identified needs of young people; O5) To create opportunities to practice and build on existing facilitation competencies through peer assessment; O6) To foster collaboration at European level, within Erasmus+ framework, between NGOs.
