Objectives

The project “Empower_Youth!” is a training course that will take place in Witten from the 13th to 17th of October 2019, involving 18 youth-workers coming from different European countries, and backgrounds. The main aim of the project is to work on the capacity building of young people, by reflecting on self-confidence, leadership attitudes, and measures to fight youth unemployment. The objectives of the project are: -To improve the capacities of youth workers with activities based on reflection, analysis, and sharing of experiences; by providing skills and knowledge in the fields of leadership and individual capacity building; by encouraging reflections about the role and competencies of the youth worker; by inspiring the definition of explicit personal objectives to improve their work (self-improvement). -To bring the participants to adopt an analytical approach to the skill recognition, which they can apply to themselves, to the associations they work in, and to the youngsters they educate -To share good practices and competences about innovative projects, focusing on the training's thematics (Capacity building, skills recognition, youths empowerment). -to recognize the most important needs youngsters face in the European and national job markets,by analyzing which personal characteristics, skills, and abilities are mostly required by youth. To provide participants with instruments to find and share with youngsters educational occasions, projects, and exchanges in the European Union.
