In our process of organizational growth, we feel the need to continuously improve our work as youth workers, facilitators and trainers. We understand that our role is very important and along with the partner organisations, we aim to share good practices, tools, tips and also learning together and improving our competencies with the guidance of an experienced trainer. All our partners, their members and target groups expressed the need for improving or assimilating training skills and competencies, especially in such an important topic as video editing, content creation, storytelling and online promotion. The project would also equip all the participants with the knowledge and practical experience in helping other young people developing their skills regarding the approached topics. We have asked our Community what are their learning needs in terms of this topic. Based on their answers we have shaped our project and training sessions. We have also asked the same questions to the communities of our partners, and this is how we came to the final version of our project and training programme. The area of online communication has developed rapidly in the last decade. It represents one of the most important departments of any organisation because its main purpose is to construct and promote the organisation’s image and activities, values and purpose. In order to create and sustain a powerful image of the organisations and to inspire active citizenship it is a must to understand how to communicate with the target group. Statistics show that in some European countries the proportion of young people (aged 16–24) using social networks is higher than 90% ( http://goo.gl/o81WHX ). According to estimates from Eurostat, almost 90% of young people aged 16–29 in the EU made daily use of Internet in 2014 and the average proportion of active users on social networks sites among young people in the EU (aged 16–29) was 82 % (http://goo.gl/rQHAu6). Therefore, along with the approach of the European Strategy for Youth about youth empowerment emphasizing the potential of young people for the renewal of society (http://goo.gl/7Cnzgt), the project will identify and promote good practices from young people, youth organisations and stakeholders working with youth that make an impact in their communities. The project's goals is to equip youth workers with the tools and knowledge to attract the attention of young people, to raise their awareness and to motivate them to act and make impact in the society. The project is also an opportunity for reaching out to new partners for future cooperation and spread our message around Europe. In this way, the strengths of the partners as organisations dedicated to European integration and promotion of European youth work will be shared to other local, national and European associations ensuring quality in the training offer on these topics. Furthermore the project will strengthen the capacities of the partners and contribute to increasing the quality of youth projects realised in frames of Erasmus + programme. Summing up, the objectives of our project are common with the Erasmus+ programme: our activity fulfils aims of European cooperation in education and training (ET 2020) and promotes the idea of non-formal education and lifelong learning, - since our project is youth-related, it goes together with another objective of Erasmus+ programme: namely, the European cooperation in the youth field, by highlighting the vital importance of youth policy and youth. Nevertheless, the project will consist of 1 activity with detailed dissemination we strongly believe we will achieve great impact on participants and therefore on community in general. During the activity, we will look into achieving (but not limited to) the following objectives: O1: Preparing participants to introduce digital tools, video editing, storytelling and social media approaches to their youth work practice; O2: Share good practices of using digital skills from each participating country; O3: Fostering collaboration at European level, within Erasmus+ framework, between NGOs active in social inclusion, human rights, minorities, equality; O4: Enhancing the visibility of the European added value to the Erasmus + programme. Last but not least, the training course will depict the active citizenship also as a concept for understanding individual as well as organizational roles and responsibilities within the society. By bringing together people from 10 European countries, this project will enhance awareness about wide variety of different cultures and nations and it will be a great opportunity for all participants to discover habits, traditions and values of other cultures. Nevertheless, the project will provide a vast amount of occasions to improve foreign language competences not only during the communication with other participants but also in the process of creating videos or using social media.
