Objectives

The “Hiking Up to Entrepreneurship” project seeks to promote the notion of entrepreneurship among young individuals. The major goal of the project is contribution to significant reduction and consequent eradication of the youth unemployment. The initiative will be implemented with the use of non-conventional strategies, resting on the approaches of outdoor education and the hiking tours. The rationale behind the project is the necessity to facilitate the employment of the youth, especially of certain vulnerable groups, through diversification of the possible career paths. Given the existing competition at the labour market, only limited opportunities are available for the substantial number of young people. Therefore, the project will expose existing alternatives, prioritising extraordinary spheres of activity. Hereby, the objectives of the “Hiking Up to Entrepreneurship” project are defined as follows: - Provision of necessary knowledge and competences for the successful planning and implementation of entrepreneurial initiatives; - Introduction to different kinds of activities from perspective of entrepreneurship; - Encouragement of young individuals' engagement in entrepreneurial activities by provision of adequate information about potential benefits; - Stimulation of creative thinking among participants through outdoor activities and practical sessions; - Presentation of advantages of European non-formal learning projects and “Erasmus+” Programme regarding social entrepreneurship, youth unemployment as well as other spheres; - Creation of a favourable environment for peer-to-peer learning and cultural exchange among participants.
