Objectives

The ERASMUS+ Programme in its current form will finish end of 2020 after seven years and the establishment of the European Solidarity Corps has already brought significant changes to the programme in the last year. Between the different youth workers and voluntary service organizations a feeling of uncertainness towards the new activity format, its possibilities and limitations has grown during the last year. The pilot phase until now is also characterized by different ambiguities regarding several aspects, technicalities of tools and procedures of the implementation. This will be a good moment for IBG and its partners to review the programme and evaluate the cooperation in this field. We want to specifically focus on the current year 2019, which constitutes for us the birth of a new activity format: the volunteering teams, which are in many aspects close to our traditional workcamp projects and their almost almost 100 year long tradition of peace, tolerance and democratic participation. We want to take the opportunity to exchange the experiences with team volunteering projects that have been implemented in 2019 to equip ourselves with competences and methods to successfully integrate the volunteering team format in our portfolio of activities. A very special focus will be given to the questions of the integrative dimension of the volunteering teams and on the accessibility and the impact of these actions on young people with fewer opportunities, who are an important target group for all the involved partner organizations. With this seminar IBG intends to improve the cooperation between the 10 involved partners from 9 European countries, to ensure the quality of volunteering team projects and to improve future cooperation in this field.
