Nowadays, the technology is highly developed and young people are exposed to it from early ages. Growing up in a digitalized era is very beneficial but also brings significant risks if people are not educated and do not use digital devices in a responsible manner. All partner organisations working in the field of youth and accumulating a significant experience we come to realise that the number of young people spending time on digital devices, prevailing social media and entertainment websites is increasing constantly. Therefore, we raised this issue during a previous project initiated by our association and most of the young people admitted that have difficulties to self-regulate when it comes to spend their time on Internet and digital devices and appreciated that a youth exchange on the topic could offer them a new perspective and learn how to spend responsibly their time in front of the screens. Therefore, by involving young people from EE, LT, RO, CZ and HU we want to address the issue of irresponsible time spend on Internet and digital devices and instead bringing in front the fact that this time can be spent in more productive ways, such as learning something new as coding is. To achieve this, we will be using non-formal participative methods such as team-work, presentations, storytelling, learning by doing and guiding young participants to explore and work together how they can learn coding and use the time spent in front of a screen in a productive way. The objectives that we plan to reach by the end of the mobility are: 1. Increase responsibility and productivity of 50 young people from EE, LT, RO, CZ and HU when it comes to the time spent on digital devices and develop useful skills in digital media. 2. Increase career and job perspectives for 50 participants from EE, LT, RO, CZ and HU. 3: Capacitate all partner organisations in implementing E+ projects, to be able to help young people with different issues, furthermore in the future. Through this project we plan to contribute to the achievement of E+ objectives and EU priorities: In the field of youth by empowering young people to be critical and responsible users and producers of information, ensure youth’s careers, and all things involved with educating and training young people in regards with media and digital literacy skills. Our project fosters employability and socio-educational and personal development, as well as participation in civic and social life; in a fast-changing world, critical thinking and creativity, as well as forward-looking skills in fields that are strategic for smart economic and social development.
