IMPROVE YOU(th) is a TC arising from the cooperation among 7 partners for improving the professional and personal competences of Youth workers and Organisations on developing quality Youth Exchanges. Our proposal is the result of 2 convergent concerns and needs: - Our concern on quality in Youth Exchanges in Europe (arised from sharing experiences between colleagues and organisations - and the linked reflection on proper use of EU grants); - Needs of the participating organisations to improve quality in all the YE phases- and to learn how to make partnerships (especially for newcomer organisations in the Programme). It will be held in Maidla, Estonia from 6 to 12 of January and the countries involved will be 7: Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain, Bulgaria, Cyprus. We will gather a participants group composed by 21 participants (3 Youth workers, Trainers, Board Members from each country) + 3 trainers and 2 staff members. The choice of mixing "old" and new partner organisations and with different level of competences on YE, is aimed to provide mutual benefits: empowerment and new perspectives for the expert ones and discover and new learnings for the new ones. The global aim of IMPROVE YOU(th) is the improvement of skills for designing, writing and managing quality Youth Exchanges, with a special focus on partnerships setting. Participants in the last part of the Training will benefit of a session where practicing to make a timetable, activites of a youth exchange, and setting up partnerships. They can count on Trainers support during the TC and on their mentoring for 1 month after the TC, in order to develop quality projects as outputs of the TC- to submit to their NAs. OBJECTIVES 1. Provide youth workers with know-how for planning and developing Youth exchanges and improving their project management competences focusing on each phase of the project life, partnership and communication; 2. Increase the understanding of different quality aspects of youth exchanges such as: project design connecting topics, objectives and activities, cooperation with partners, intercultural learning, learning assessment, impact and results; 3. Provide introduction to the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme, focusing on main features and priorities (mainly for newcomers to the programme); 4. Critically reflect upon their previous international youth exchange experience(s) - good and bad practices- as coordinator sor as partners; 5. Support participants in putting in practice the learnings gained, submitting quality application forms to their NAs (through planning project ideas in partnership during one TC session and offering a mentoring support after the TC); 6. Experience a non-formal learning process and understand how to support young people's learning process in the project; 7. Facilitate the creation of partnership for further projects among the organisations (through the positive exchange among experienced and newcomers organisations) 8. Strenghten participants and organisations competences and capability in youth work and international dimension and cooperation 9. Enhancing Non Formal education methods and recognition of NFE learnings (outputs production: website adn Booklet).
