We are youth group who wants to increase tolerance, cultural awareness and intercultural dialogue through traditional but also inovational and creative cusine. In 21st century we face different problems connected with cultural differences - chauvinism, xenophobia, nationalism. Our vision is to create atmosphere that supports the building of common world family and we will see this already on the project. We assume that feeling of common world family has to be settled in every person in the world to stop wars, conflicts and discrimination. In many traditions family is the most valuable aspect of peoples life and at least once a year family has to gather together and have fun, cook, eat, exchange experience and plan next steps. We would like to learn from each culture how to become a big world family and what traditions could work for all cutlures. We think that cusine is something that unites people. The feeling of comfortable coexisting, cooperation and communication without misunderstanding is what we expect to get on this project. Our project common aim is to discover cultures of participating countries through cusine and to explore deeper own cultural heritage in order to increase understanding of different Europe cultures, tolerance and solidarity of EU community. We have set up several objectives: 1) Explore our own traditional cuisine and culture 2) Learn more about cultures of participating countries through traditional cuisine and increase intercultural dialogue; 3) Compare traditional cuisines of participating countries to find what we have in common and in difference and create new "world family food traditions and cuisine" 4) Bring together Estonian and Russian speaking communities and establish cooperation between them Our project will help youngsters to understand own and other cultures in practice to be ready live, work, study in multicultural society without having any conflicts. Participants will get confidence that in spite of nationality and culture everybody is still alive person that has to be valued and not discreminated. We are planning to go deeper to culture through traditions and cusine. We expect to prove that everybody has common values but the way of expressing them is different.
