One of the main problems affecting young people is youth unemployment, the rate in Europe is around 17%, and specifically in the partners that make up this project: Malta 10.6%, Hungary 10.7%, Romania 18 , 3%, Portugal 23.8%, Italy 34.7%, and Spain 38.6% being the second European country with the highest rate. This fact means that young people can not develop fully, since they are not economically independent, and this limits their possibilities, such as emancipating themselves or traveling outside their town or country to learn about other cultures. In order to alleviate this problem, many young people are forced to emigrate, especially from small towns to large cities with the dream of finding a job. This situation brings another problem, rural depopulation. According to Eurostat data, only 27.8% of the population of the European Union lives in rural areas, the data becoming worse in the case of Spain, which is the third European country with the highest urban population (the last study by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Food, indicates that 16.5% of Spaniards live in 84% of the extension of the territory). Despite the fact that the total Spanish population has grown by 15% from 2000 to 2017, the population registered in rural areas has declined, standing at 24% here in Andalusia; that although it is such a low number, it is the seventh highest rate in all of Spain. This means that rural areas are disappearing, because young people migrate in search of work, so that the average age of the population is aging and slowly losing businesses and services, which translates into worsening of the quality of life and the gradual isolation of said population. The AROPE 2017 report (European indicator of risk of poverty or social exclusion) shows that 35% of the rural population lives at risk of poverty or social exclusion. These data show the necessary intervention to reduce the vulnerability of the inhabitants of rural areas. Among the project partners, based on our experience and continuous activity in small towns and rural areas, we believe that these sites have great potential for entrepreneurship, where young people could access the labor market and at the same time revive rural areas. Due to the latent situation, we intend to develop the project "THE RURAL GROW", consisting of a youth exchange of entrepreneurship in rural areas, based on the creation of youth employment in the sectors of active tourism and sports, taking advantage of the resources of the areas rural As GENERAL OBJECTIVES we have proposed: - Stimulate youth entrepreneurship - Reanimate rural areas - Promote active tourism. The SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES will be: - Encourage the creation of youth employment in the active tourism sector. - Increase the skills and competences of the participants, increasing their chances of employability in rural areas - Experience different offers of active tourism in rural areas - Discover the potential of natural resources and their commercialization - Improve interpersonal skills and encourage dialogue among participants through coexistence - Promote the displacement of urban areas to rural areas, making known the advantages of the latter Through the achievement of our objectives we can contribute to different goals of the Erasmus + program, and as the European Rural Development Policy defends to achieve the 2014-2020 achievements against rural depopulation, the European Commission pursues these objectives: - Promote social inclusion, poverty reduction and economic development in rural areas - Increase initiative and entrepreneurship in rural areas - Create opportunities for professional development in depopulated areas - Raise skills for employment and the creation of new active tourism and sports companies in rural areas
