Currently, young people, like the rest of society, are not oblivious to the amount of available information and news regarding cultural diversity. However, much of this information is negative in its nature and has the tendency to influence young people´s opinions with little consideration given to critical thought. This project intends to equip the young participants with the capacity to develop opinions based on factual information, personal reflection and exchange with others. This project is a collaboration between Assoaicció PROSEC, Eurocicle and Comitato d'Intesa to offer the opportunity to young people with fewer opportunities to participate in their first European experience by participating in joint activities to develop, debate and build personal opinions related to the theme of the cultural diversity. This project not only aims to involve the groups of young people in the exchange, but also to involve them in the whole process, including the project preparation, the design of the workshops and activities, as well as the evaluation and the dissemination process, where the youth will play an essential role in sharing the results with other groups in order to motivate other young people. Given that the participants are young people with some type of added difficulty, a period of preparation with young people is planned, which aims to give them the skills to participate in the activities with guarantees, to enhance their involvement in the process and to give them the necessary confidence to take advantage of the experience and be able to interrelate with the other participants. Therefore, the purpose of the exchange is to provide a space for young people to contrast these realities and, especially, to train and prepare themselves to have a critical opinion of the information and work on their free positioning. The objectives are set in line with the priorities and objectives of both the Erasmus + Program and the KA1 action in particular: - Offer tools to groups of young people to know, understand and elaborate the concepts and meanings referring to cultural diversity, prejudice and racism. - Offer groups of young people a space for exchange between equals (ages, situation) but in an environment of diversity (of origin, culture) in a relaxed and free setting. - Facilitate the tools for the construction of a critical opinion and the construction of a proper positioning. - Create an environment of trust that enhances the interrelationships between young people to create personal ties of union. - Offer, stimulate or create dynamics, games and / or activities through non-formal education methodologies to introduce and deal with the subject of cultural diversity and that these can be used by the participating entities or the youth groups themselves. - Work for the fight against prejudice, hate speech and intercultural understanding. - Facilitate a process that includes the identification of learning as well as its collection, reflection and translation in a certificate. - Offer youth groups an international experience (or outside their habitual residence) in an environment of nature and interculturality. - Strengthen relations between participating entities and strengthen a future partnership relationship.
