What we want with our project “Making music; helping people”, in collaboration with the AMPACJS (Parent´s Asociation of San Javier´s Conservatory) is let the people know what we think is an unsolved question. The question is the necessity of ill and ancient people to be accompanied by their families, friends…. but also with some cultural activities looking to avoiding their loneliness. Our project tries to introduce music in their routine according to the scientific discoveries that show that music helps people to get along with many depression and lonely sign, the pain of the treatment and also the illness. That is why our project meets in contact young musicians with hospitals and old people´s home because of these establishments have not access to most of the socio-cultural events. this is summarised in our project main theme “music helps people and with it, we will manage to help the society”. We had the idea from San Javier´s Conservatory because the institution began the last year with some informal activities related to the project with little concerts in hospitals and old people´s home. We believe that this project will be beneficial for every participant and the people who will we attend. It will be the perfect chance for the participants to be aware of the situation of the old and ill people and to be their best version. Be conscious of the facts will make the participants mature and will bring them a social vision for the future. in fact, it was San Javier´s teens who, after seeing all the activities in the local hospital “Los Arcos” and know about this project, wanted to be volunteers and help to organize the project. That is why the selection of participants will be easy because it will be them who will choose who deserves the most take part in the project. From the AMPACSJ, we firmly believe that create most human and social Europe can be possible. That is why we feel so “obligated” to let the youth take part in this unbelievable idea in an Erasmus+ project because in that way, will help to achieve the European objectives. The objectives of the project are similar to the Erasmusic+ goals, for example: - Improve the level of attitudes and competencies of young people and also the intercultural dialogue, the social inclusion and the solidarity. - Increase the social aspect of young activities. - Improve their individual development, their social participation and their professional trajectories in the European Union and also in their localities by the knowledge learned during the project. - Improve the level of non-maternal languages, in our case the English, that is the most common and it is used in professional education as an obligatory request. - Increase the knowledge and the comprehension of other cultures and countries, and to have the opportunity to meet new people, be an active member of the society and develop a European spirit, by the activities of the project: “Making music; helping people”. - Understand a different culture by the exchange, sharing experiences with other people like us during the activities. And understand our world by the knowledge of many cultures and their differences. With these objectives, we want to open our minds to the change and to the way of looking at what life gives to our life. We want to achieve this because of the social side of the project and we think that a more social Europe is a fairer one. We also want to do some cultural activities like “intercultural nights” to let the participants show a bit of their culture to the other participants. And that will be the perfect time to practice our English, which is the main language between the participants during the project, that is why at the end of the project, a YOUTHPASS’ Certificate will be awarded to the participants, this official certificate can be used in many different contexts: academically and in terms of work.
