Objectives

After more than 50 years since the beginning of the LGBTI+ movement, there are still inequality situations completely anachronistic in legality or social fields, which are so basic. It can be proved in a simple way: if we write “LGBTI+ inequality around the world” down in Google search, there it will appear thousands of results describing situations of inequality about employability, basic choices, aggressions (some of them, supported by their Government) and an endless list of similar results. Approaching to education system, it's well known that affective-sexual diversity and gender identity diversity are not included in the agendas of most countries, not even as a transversal topic. If we also take into account the huge difficult for LGBTI+ associations to collaborate with schools and universities in much more countries, social activism gets reduced mainly to social intervention within social networks such as Instagram or Facebook. In conclusion, all these factors increase situations of discrimination and bullying in educational centers, and no teachers or major teams can actually activate any protocol against LGBTI+phobia because of the lack of knowledge about it. For this reason, we want these situations to get improved through the visibility and normalization of the LGBTI+ collective, implementing activities in education system through associated or individual people who have any close relation with this collective. Our aim is that these people have the tools to know closely how to struggle with similar situations in different regions of Europe and that they improve, in general terms, their LGBTI+ activism and their active participation in European society. For all that, our partners in this project are: The general objectives of this projects are: • To offer a learning experience to 30 young people from 6 different countries about hot do LGBTI+ activism in educational centers, developing competences in inclusion, empathy and youth work, and getting and appreciating the tools that Federación Andaluza Arco Iris LGBTI+ has created and used to create inclusive educational atmospheres. • To develop the competences and values of participants to be change agents and to organize activism actions, developing 1 activity per group in educational centers in their origin communities after the participation in our activity and applying all the knowledge they will have got. • To understand the situation of inclusion of the LGBTI+ youth in educational centers (holding that these centers should be a safe space where young people could be, to be able to develop strategies, actions and attitudes to improve those situations).
