Objectives

The project "Ambassadors of ChangE+" will be held: Two main project activities will take place in Malaga: the advanced planning visit 31/10/2019-01/11/2019 and the Youth Exchange 12/12/2019-19/12/2019 The project also includes a workshop day in each of the countries planned for January 2019. Project partners are from Spain, Poland, Italy, Germany, Latvia, Turkey, Ireland, and Finland. Each national group consists of 4 participants (aged 16-23 y/o) and 1 group leader (aged 18+ ), so 40 participants in total. By implementing this international project, we want to educate youngsters on the topics of nature pollution, global warming, human impact on the environment, positive practices with an aim to reduce pollution, sustainable lifestyle, re-usage of materials, democratic values, acceptance, equality, and healthy lifestyle. Trough the project we will provide participants with tools and pieces of advice that will direct them in the direction of living more sustainably and remind them of their importance in the future of Europe and this Planet. The created materials (posters, leaflets, brochure, fabric shopping bags, project's blog and most importantly- the gained knowledge ) will be disseminated in a wide range of groups of people, also outside the borders of Europe. Because the Irish NGO is a part of an international network, the project's results will be shared also in Africa. We will gain a local impact in Malaga by organizing a meeting in Malaga municipality, holding a movie night in Malaga Youth house and organizing a flashmob in the center of Malaga. Participants will hold meetings in their local communities after the Youth Exchange. Our main aim is trough all of the before mentioned activities educate people about the impact they are having on nature in their everyday life and how to turn this impact to more positive. We want to remind people how close we are to nature and that it is our duty to preserve it and to protect from complete exploitation. By cleaning the beach- we want to give youngsters an example of the range of actions they can take to improve the overall situation. We will educate people of more sustainable lifestyle including household, diet, transportation etc. During the flashmob we will hand out leaflets of information on how to live more sustainable and nature-friendly. Also, a brochure and poster will be made and provided access to everyone. During the project, the vegetarian/vegan diet will be provided to the participants (of course, while taking in mind the allergies that we'll be informed about). During the meals, participants will be provided with high-nutrition food and this week will be as an opportunity to eat more environmentally friendly. As known globally, animal agriculture is responsible for more greenhouse gases than all the world’s transportation systems combined. According to the United Nations, a global shift toward a vegan diet is necessary to combat the worst effects of climate change. During the year 2050, the number of people living on planet Earth will reach up to 10 billion. A group of 37 scientists from around the world was brought together as part of the EAT-Lancet commission and lead discussions about the diet that will be able to feed such a number of people, with aim of minimizing greenhouse gas emissions, preventing any species going extinct, having no expansion of farmland, and preserving water. (https://www.bbc.com/news/health-46865204) The conclusion that we can make out of it is that a plant-based diet is crucial in making a global environmental change. In order to specify to aim the target of the following objectives: 1. Improve the level of competences and skills for 40 young people regarding a sustainable attitude towards themselves and the environment through lectures, interaction with locals, ecology actions, outdoor games, debates, flashmob, workshops; 2. Promoting a healthy, environmentally sustainable lifestyle among 100 young people and citizens in Malaga through flash-mob and direct interaction; 3. Encouraging intercultural dialogue and active citizenship through outdoor activities (cleaning of the beach, going on hikes, learning about the history of Malaga); 4.
