Objectives

With this project we want to make wealth of our millenary construction techniques, developed according to the materials available in each place and the local climatic conditions, spreading values such as artisanal, team and sustainable work to create work methodologies with young people. We want to satisfy what was requested in previous projects by participants and associations. Where we have noted the need and growing interest in the ecological construction and the demand for this subject in youth activities and have asked us to make a more specific project on this subject, since monitors and volunteers usually do not have knowledge in these techniques, applicable to work fields and leisure activities. Our training project, "Natural Team Building", proposes to share experiences and learnings about the natural construction typical of the countries participating in the project. The youth trainers will be responsible for contributing actively enriching the topic, presenting activities from their own experiences. They will bring their knowledge from their countries, we will learn from them and then they will carry out in the return home in their own courses with youngs. At the end of the training you want to create the "Manual of the good builder", which will be of great help to anyone who wants to approach these traditional and self-construction techniques. Technical and individual skills will be developed through several informative sessions, practical workshops (the majority) and visits to several local projects that are already active; In addition, activities will be developed to create workshops with young people using these techniques. The trainers will have the opportunity to share and learn from each other, but we will also have two technicians specialized in natural construction to ensure a good level and to learn new techniques and tools. This type of construction requires coordination between the various phases and great teamwork. During the training we focus on the following aspects: - Theoretical part of different types of Natural construction (belonging to the participating countries), such as adobe, lime, dry stone .... - Application and practical experimentation with the construction of walls in dry stone and adobe. Test of different mixtures of adobe and lime and completion of lime finishes. I use fibers (straw, hemp, etc.) to reinforce finishes - Construction instruments for application with natural materials (wood, felt, etc.) - Creation of workshops with young people with these learned techniques and with the people of the town - Visit to existing local projects. The general objectives of this project are: - Acquisition of methodologies, didactic and practical resources with natural construction as a tool for working with young people, promoting participation and teamwork, the exchange of ideas and knowledge among the participants to have an impact on their own economic, ecological and social community . - Learning self-construction techniques from the practical aspects mentioned above. - Creation of a manual of what has been done with all the participants and practical workshops, as a tool for anyone who wants to start in Natural Construction. - Promotion of non-formal learning, horizontal development and continued personal growth. In line with the priority of the Erasmus + program, this project will be promoted: - the implementation of technical competences, useful for the implementation, including the ways of work. - The level of improvement of the individual skills, attitudes and abilities of the participants, such as, for example, teamwork, expression in a foreign language, non-violent communication, self-confidence, leadership skills and creativity. - Active promotion of European citizenship, democratic participation, mutual respect, and intercultural and knowledge exchange. - Strengthen the role of youth organizations to promote mobility, interculturality and European integration. - Acquisition of skills to improve traditional European resources and favor self-construction processes linked to the sustainable development of the place, promoting dissemination in the countries of origin.
