Objectives

A peaceful society is not defined by the absence of direct violence. For a society to evolve peacefully, human rights must be respected and the active participation of people must be encouraged. Our innovative approach is to understand social businesses as a tool to empower the process of peace in society. Businesses that are not oriented to the pursuit of maximum benefit, but to the search of a specific benefit for society. From this perspective, we propose to equip young people with the necessary competencies to initiate and manage socially conscious projects by designing a BLUEPRINT - master plan. These entrepreneurial initiatives will be sustainable will form a basis for the development of a culture of peace. The objectives of the project are: -To empower young people with the competencies and guidelines for their employment and personal development; -to increase social capital and participation of young people in their societies through the implementation of personal projects and social businesses. -to promote and gain the understanding of the social entrepreneurship and non-profit socially involved activities; -to develop the planning skills and advanced project management methodologies of the participants. -to create awareness of the efficient use of available resources and promote a sustainable lifestyle by implementing personal projects with individuals and society. -to explore social entrepreneurship as a tool for the peace process in local communities. -to promote social entrepreneurship as a tool for inclusion and a potential increase of equal opportunities for young people. -to exchange good practices in social entrepreneurship and project management and to enhance its combination with peacebuilding. - to strengthen the sustainability of youth networks in the EU and neighboring countries about the potential of social enterprises in the construction of peaceful societies through the establishment of a group of peacebuilders with social entrepreneurship skills. During this course, we will use the educational techniques and methods of YPAN and LPS in the field of peacebuilding and social entrepreneurship.
