Objectives

The youth workers' mobility "Depolarization of youth work practices" focuses on analysing the consequences and dynamics of polarisation in order to develop youth work competences to prevent polarisation and violent extremism through human rights education methodologies . The project contributes ideas, examples and practical tools through which youth workers, educators and youth leaders in the Euro-Mediterranean area develop competences to explore the root causes and address polarisation and violent extremism through youth work. The specific objectives of the course include: To identify the root causes and dynamics of polarisation processes and to develop competences to identify violent extremism narratives and actions among young people; To provide methodological tools to youth workers, educators and youth leaders to prevent violent extremism by promoting the political dimension of active citizenship; To exchange good practices and develop effective depolarisation strategies to counteract extremist narratives through the promotion of human rights and democratic values. To increase the quality and develop cooperation strategies within the Erasmus + programme, especially in the Euro-Mediterranean area, creating synergies and establishing cooperation networks between youth organisations that promote intercultural dialogue.
