Waves of Youth II exists due to three reasons: 1-Our first project has had a highly successful reception within our network of associations and due to the natural limits of numbers of participants, we have not been able to include all the organizations that have wanted to participate. 2-During the first part of 2019 we have traveled extensively through France, Portugal, Lithuania, and found related associations in the United Kingdom, Estonia, Norway and Denmark, and we want to include the new partners in WOY2. 3-Due to causes beyond the INJUVE, payment deadlines for approved projects have been postponed, and this has limited us at the time of booking the accommodation and available dates, as well as in the phases of organization with partners. We want WOY2 to repair the aspects that we have received in the evaluation of the original project, and to provide us with the security we need to improve in the aspects of planning and reservations well in advance. Waves of Youth II has the following objectives: 1. Promote practices of inclusion and intercultural diversity in youth, serving as a natural continuation of the original project including new partners in our network 2. Include marginalized groups of young people and use the maritime environment as a didactic means to assimilate the cooperative spirit 3. Promote inter-religious dialogue and the common values of freedom, tolerance, and respect for human rights 4. Provide an enriching intercultural experience for the participants 5. Promote media literacy, critical thinking, and initiative in youth 6. Actively involve the local surfing community of Cantabria, cooperating in the activity and dissemination stage, promoting the values 7. Promote the principles of the Erasmus + program and raise awareness of the benefits of the Youthpass and Europass CV certificate One of the main objectives when creating this project is to involve all the participants in all aspects of the development of the project and in the responsibilities they entail, granting also, the gratification that derives from specifying and modeling mobility and the quality of its results. Media literacy, critical thinking, and initiative in youth will be the main tools we will offer to workers in the field of youth to develop the project. The diversity of the origin of the participants will provide the element of cultural diversity, inter-religious dialogue, and common values.
