The exchange "Together we can do it" will take place from the 4th to the 13th of October 2019 in Trasmulas / Granada with 26 Spanish and German young people with fewer opportunities and some of them with special needs. The Spanish group comes from the school Padre Manjón del Almanjayar in Granada and the German group comes from the social services of a civic center, both located in very disadvantaged neighborhoods of their cities. With this educational experience we want to offer new opportunities for personal development and socio-educational integration to young people in risk of social exclusion, improve the school coexistence and harmony in the classroom, promote respect and solidarity between young people from different countries and contexts, fight against racist and xenophobic tendencies and motivate young people with learning difficulties to keep on studying and to open up new perspectives for them. We also offer young people a framework to reflect on their situation and their difficulties at school and to think together about possibilities of action to improve their situation. In recent years we have heard many complaints from students regarding injustice, violence and discrimination in the school environment. Bullying is an increasingly important problem and teachers often do not know how to ensure a good coexistence in the classroom and how to support students with special needs and / or difficulties of socio-educational integration.
