As young people, we often lack adequate communication skills and adequate knowledge about how to work with our emotions and, therefore, we often get caught up in a cycle of conflicting emotions and confusions that can lead to frustration, aggression and other emotional imbalances such as depression, low mood, lack of interest and lack of inspiration. At the same time, there is an increasing amount of scientific literature recognizing Nature's Deficit Disorder as the cause of a wide range of behavioral problems in young people. In our current educational system, we are not taught how to deal with emotions, how to communicate effectively in a nonviolent way and how to care for our planet. With this Youth Exchange we want to have the opportunity to explore our connection with ourselves, others and the outside world together with people who come from different cultures, to learn from our differences and build bonds to overcome them. The general objective of this project is to offer young people tools to improve their relationship with themselves, with others and with the world in a context of intercultural dialogue. In the specific: - improve the relationship with oneself by learning tools of emotional management and internal listening; - improve the relationship with others through a conscious and non-violent communication that includes and values diversity; - improve the relationship with the world through a better understanding of the natural environment and the challenges of sustainability.
