This project proposes to create a shared knowledge base among youth workers and youth leaders so that they can work more effectively with young people in the context of collaborative projects, ecovillages and education projects for sustainability to create quality projects. This training course has been created to share a toolbox for youth leaders that has been developed in different European organizations and ecovillages and to make it available to more youth workers and youth leaders. An ecovillage is an intentional or traditional community that is designed through local and participatory processes with the aim of regenerating social and natural environments. The 4 dimensions of sustainability - ecology, economy, social and culture are integrated into a holistic approach. Ecovillages are models of sustainable settlements that serve as training and learning centers where people experience through informal and non-formal education the experience of sharing life in a cohesive, inclusive and sustainable society. The main objectives of the project are: - provide youth workers and youth leaders with the skills, knowledge, tools and skills needed to work with youth in ecovillages and to create quality projects in the field of youth; - encourage the creation of more youth projects in ecovillages that will bring more young people to this inspiring learning environment that demonstrates a sustainable lifestyle; - open the doors of ecovillages to young people so that they can take advantage of this context of learning about inclusion and sustainability. The project aims to respond to the growing demand among young people on issues of sustainability and climate change and offer more opportunities for young people to approach and understand the experience of ecovillages, which have revealed a very fertile educational environment . This project aims to respond at the same time to the demand of youth workers who work in both ecovillages and urban areas to have opportunities to learn leadership and facilitation skills, as well as different methodologies and tools to work on the issue of sustainability, sharing the knowledge that has been developed in the ecovillages and open it to young people and the rest of society. On a broader scale, the project aims to respond to the global environmental, energy and climate crisis by promoting a transition towards sustainability, providing a framework for young people to face the challenges faced by the global society in the hope that Europe will be a reference model to address global challenges by putting sustainability and social justice at the center. In this sense, the tools to integrate young migrants in cohesive and sustainable societies will be at the center of the work that is carried out in the project.
