The Leadership Training concept has been developed to fill an evident learning and continuity gap in the structure of the European Youth Parliament network. One of our main goals is to increase youth mobility within the organisation of the EYP, and between different roles within the organisation and across Europe. We strongly believe that giving the right tools for good leadership will increase the mobility to attend events across Europe. Additionally, we want to enhance the quality of the events that EYP offers, with a training that tackles the possible problems that the trainees might have on the event leadership roles. The objectives of the Leadership Training are to: a) enhance the quality of session leadership competence of members in the partner organisations; b) strengthen the training culture and the continuity of leadership skills among EYP volunteers; c) enhance intercultural dialogue between the participating youth organisations, to increase knowledge sharing and quality improvements in their work; d) perpetuate among the partner organisations and its current and future young leaders the values of diversity and equality that make up the core philosophy of the network; e) ensure continuity and a new generation of leaders in the youth sector, to further develop other mobility activities; f) foster international cooperation projects leading to new training events for youth workers and volunteers; g) increase capacities and skills of the participants, for them to act as multipliers in their own organisations.
