"SAIL YOUR FUTURE AOURND SUSTAINABLE TOURISM" is an innovative multi-partner project between local authorities, local integration missions and associations from various countries with the aim of organising a youth exchange (EdJ) in Setubal, Portugal. This project aims to bring together a dozen young people from Heraklion with six Spanish, six Portuguese and six Italians around activities related to the discovery and enhancement of heritage, sustainable tourism and sustainable development. We have designed this project with a target audience as a starting point: young people with fewer opportunities in the Hérault department who have difficulty integrating and who are also considered at European level as NEETS (Not in Education, Employment or Training). This project is co-constructed with three local integration missions (MLI) located in rural areas and engaged to follow these young people in the Hérault department. On our territory, we note that these young people are experiencing difficulties in accessing international mobility schemes. They face social, economic and cultural obstacles that do not always allow them to be aware of mobility schemes and to have the opportunity to register and participate in this type of project. This project therefore emerged following this observation, prompting a reflection led by youth actors and MLIs within the departmental network for the mobility of young people in Hérault. Since the implementation of the Youth Guarantee, (a system to guarantee social and professional integration through an intensive and personalised training and access to employment path), MLIs have wanted to develop mobility actions that could be used to support intervention with young people with fewer opportunities in order to enable them in an innovative way to access training and promote their employability. Thus, it seems relevant to us to propose to these young people to live an experience of mobility and interculturality while allowing them to discover fields of heritage, tourism, and sustainable development interesting in terms of professional and personal integration. In addition to the partnership built between France and Portugal, we have chosen to involve other Mediterranean partners, so that there will be a greater discovery of the challenges of the Mediterranean basin, through sustainable development actions. The aim of the project is therefore to consider the mobility of young people as an experience that will strengthen their social inclusion and achieve several objectives: - To enable young people to participate in an international experience by promoting their commitment to citizenship and developing their sense of belonging to the European Union. - Encourage the immersion of young people through the discovery of sustainable tourism activities (sustainable tourism, and outdoor activities, heritage discovery, socio-cultural animation in rural areas... etc.) - Sensitize young people to environmental issues and eco-citizenship - Develop apprenticeships, skills, knowledge, know-how and attitudes among young people By participating in this project, sharing their ideas and knowledge, and engaging in reflection related to the enhancement of the intangible, tangible and cultural heritage, participants will be involved in defining a common project that they will have the opportunity to enrich as they go along. as they meet. In addition to being a rich contribution in terms of human and practical skills, this experience will enable them to become aware of their citizenship through a commitment to a project of general interest.
