The SIEECAP Intercultural exchange seminary on global citizenship education tools and animation is a project co-organized by 4 Euro-Mediterranean organizations: Etudiants et Développement in France, the Carrefour Associatif in Morocco, UniverSud-Liège in Belgium and the Tunisian Forum for Youth Empowerment in Tunisia. The SIEECAP aims at facilitating exchange between young participants and creating a better knowledge of one-another, and to enable the expression of cross-cultural perspective on international issues, exchange of ideas and debates. It also aims at strengthening the capacity of committed young people in three Euro-med countries: Morocco, Belgium, Tunisia and France. With this project, we want to answer the growing needs of the youngsters we work with in France, Marocco, Belgium and Tunisia. Our objective is to provide a forum to meet and exchange for youngters from the Euromed zone who express the same concerns for social and environmental justice but are confronted to a world where populisms are growing and most government hold a status quo policy on climate issues. This meeting will make them exchange over their contexts and share methods and tools for citizen’s participation in the public debate and for awareness raising campaigns. We want that this SIEECAP helps those youngsters to feel more legitimate and have the tools to take part in the public debate and decisions in different levels according to their involvement: NGOs, universities, cities, etc.
