Objectives

EU is a home to many cultures and nationalities from other EU member countries as well as from non-EU member countries due to many socio-economic reasons. The place or a country where an individual is born has a significant impact on their identity, and there is a need to perceive individuals as a part of a system they belong to, to understand their inner struggles and dynamics behind being excluded. By implementing this project we want: (1) to address the issues of social inclusion of youth with multicultural and migrant background, their identity and the question of belonging, (2) to build the capacity of organizations and youth workers to implement innovative tools based on systemic work and constellations into their work with youth, (3) to empower youth workers to feel confident in working on social inclusion of youth with multicultural and migrant background and work with their identities, belonging, and systems they come from - family, culture, nation, (4) to disseminate the results to relevant stakeholders on local, national and international level. The general objective of this project is to build capacity of organizations and to empower youth workers, youth leaders and educators with competences based on the systemic approach to social inclusion of youth with multicultural and migrant background. Specific objectives are: (1) provide a safe learning context to experience how one’s identity is shaped in relationship to different systems-family, society, school, partnership, land, nation, social group, etc. (2) familiarize participants with the systemic approach to social inclusion, inclusive language, with the principles and limitations of belonging to a system, and the consequences of exclusion (3) learn, practice and embody tools and methodologies based on systemic approach, embodied learning, inclusive language to implement in work with youth with multicultural and migrant background
